We were made for togetherness. Tradition and human experience point toward it. Yet the arts—one of our oldest forms of connection—are often treated as expendable, just when they're most essential. Connection is not a luxury; it is medicine.

On Saturday, October 3, 2026, Angelface Records, founded by Clinton residents Joe and Angelica McCarthy, presents the ONE: For Harmony, For Humanity Community Concert at The Morgan School Auditorium in Clinton, CT. Free and open to all, the event brings neighbors together through music, creativity, and conversation as a local first step in a larger movement toward unity.

ONE is a multidisciplinary jazz album, live performance, and community experience performed by the Latin Grammy®-winning, Grammy®-nominated New York Afro Bop Alliance Big Band (NYABABB). Its mission—For Harmony, For Humanity—is to awaken hearts, shift perspectives, strengthen the well-being of every community it enters, and restore connection in a divided world. Connection is not merely the outcome of this work; it is the method, the mission, and the meaning.

At its center is one question: What does UNITY mean to you? Five original compositions weave Afro-Latin jazz, Bebop, Afro-Peruvian, Caribbean, Classical Indian, funk, and big band traditions with spoken word, narration, and community voices, creating a musical call to remember that we are one body with many parts. It is not a call for sameness, but a celebration of difference, and a journey toward unity that begins with each of us. This is an invitation to belong to something, not just to witness it.

Before ONE reaches the wider world, the shoreline will experience it first.

The evening begins at 4:00 PM with the ONE Gathering, an open space for connection. Six UNITY stations invite attendees to share their answer to the central question; an Arts for All Ages area brings families together; and a Community Mural gives everyone a place in a shared work. Local organizations join neighbors in conversation. By making room for creativity and belonging, the gathering strengthens relationships that help communities flourish, because living well begins with loving one another. Every attendee is invited to contribute to the project itself.

At 7:00 PM, shoreline community performers open the concert, followed by the NYABABB's first live preview of ONE. Afterward, the project's message and practices continue beyond the hall, carrying its purpose into everyday life.

October 3rd is the pilot of a framework that will travel wherever the music goes. The album records in October 2026 and will be released in early 2027, followed by the world premiere and national tour.
