IMAGES 2026
Congratulations to the accepted artists of IMAGES 2026! Our judges have selected 106 works from a submission pool of over 500 wonderful photographs.
"It was a true honor to serve as jurors for IMAGES 2026, the 46th annual competition for Connecticut photographers. Together, we brought decades of experience across landscape, portraiture, film, and digital photography. Those varied perspectives helped shape an exhibition as diverse as the photographers who submitted to it, with works ranging from remarkable technical mastery to images that resonated on a deeply emotional level.
Judging together meant watching the exhibition gradually take shape, entry by entry, while discovering new meaning in photographs revisited after a second—or even third—look. Having each served as IMAGES jurors during the transition to remote judging at the height of the pandemic, we were especially struck by how the competition has continued to grow and evolve. It is a testament not only to the enduring strength of this exhibition, but also to the creativity, talent, and vitality of Connecticut's photographic community."
