ARTFARM is an independent, non-profit organization, based in Middletown, CT, in the USA, founded in 2001, with a mission of cultivating high quality theater with a commitment to simple living, environmental sustainability and social justice.

ARTFARM has its roots in Physical Theater, Shakespeare, Commedia dell’ Arte, Circus and Generative Ensemble-based theater works. We are still committed to these crafts AND we continue to grow and lean towards increased understanding of -and a deepened connection to – a collective imagination and shared consciousness through our work. Our workshops on Embodiment and Interbeing; Artists as Cultural Healers; Grief, Dying and Death, and performance pieces that explore these themes and others (such as women, oppression, race and cultural wounds, grief, the environment, and an interweaving of human, artist, healer and spiritual being) continue to move us towards interconnectivity and personal and community healing

Founded in the fall of 1989, Another Octave: Connecticut Women’s Chorus (AO:CWC) celebrates our choices and experiences through the power of music. An auditioned chorus with roots in the lesbian community, we are open to all women and encourage diversity. Another Octave performs an eclectic repertoire, including standard concert pieces as well as traditional and contemporary music that reflects women’s lives. Together, we work for musical excellence and perform for the pleasure of our audiences and ourselves.

The Branford Arts & Culture Alliance (BACA) is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit arts organization dedicated to inspiring, nurturing, and celebrating the arts in all their forms.

Through the BACA Art Gallery, we provide local and regional artists and artisans with a welcoming place to exhibit and sell their work. We offer affordable and free programs for all ages-from students to seniors-including art classes, art education, art therapy and wellness programs, workshops, exhibitions, and Artist 2 Artist opportunities.

BACA is committed to supporting emerging and established artists, providing opportunities for young people, and investing in the next generation through scholarships for students pursuing further education in the arts.

More than a gallery, BACA serves as a gathering place for artists, art lovers, neighbors, and visitors, a place where creativity strengthens community and where the arts can be experienced, explored, and enjoyed by all.

Founded in 1986, the Connecticut Gay Men's Chorus was the first organization of its kind in Connecticut and is proud to be a part of LGBT history. The chorus continues to inspire other arts-based community organizations around New England. Under the leadership of Artistic Director Greg McMahan, the CTGMC is proud to maintain its high level of performance standards while maintaining its signature blend of humor and personality.

Dance in Rhythm is a Professional Dance Studio focusing on Ballroom Dance and other dance styles as well.-

Elm Shakespeare Company is a premiere theater company known for producing outstanding theater and educational programs that enrich the lives of people from widely diverse cultural socio-economic and educational backgrounds.

Our Mission is to bring the finest musical performances to the widest and most culturally, economically, and socially diverse audience possible in the Connecticut River Valley and Shoreline Region during the winter months.

Our History is one of great music since 1978.

Our Concerts are renowned not only for their world-class artistic quality, but also for their extraordinary variety and friendly, informal atmosphere. Programs have ranged from an intimate solo guitar recital to a full symphony orchestra, and have included both instrumental and vocal music. Each season includes a Mihae Lee Legacy Concert, which honors our most recent retired Artistic Director of 15 years, a Stu Ingersoll Jazz Concert and presents talented young performers in the Fenton Brown Emerging Artists Concert. All concerts are Sundays at 3:00 pm.

The George S. Flynn Concerts are made possible by a trust fund Mr. Flynn established in his will. It was his great desire to provide “classical music concerts for the benefit education and pleasure of the inhabitants of the town of Clinton (Connecticut).” It is in his honor and to his memory that we dedicate these concerts. Mr. Flynn and his late wife Eirene Smyth who found each other in the 8th decade of their lives enjoyed much together including classical music

Ivoryton Playhouse is a renowned small professional theater in the Shoreline Region of Connecticut. It is known for its exceptional productions and commitment to creating unforgettable experiences for audiences of all ages.

The Ivoryton Playhouse continues its tradition of enriching the community through the power of live theater, inviting audiences to laugh, cry, and celebrate together.

The Keyes Gallery at the Willoughby Wallace Memorial Library, is an exhibition space dedicated to providing enrichment, education, and cultural enjoyment to the local community as well as visitors from far and wide. A cycle of changing exhibitions introduces the work of emerging and established Connecticut visual artists.

Traditionally garbed Victorian Carolers will fill the winter air with the bright sounds of the season bringing holiday cheer to young and old alike. Whether caroling at the door to greet your guests strolling through a reception or leading a sing-a-long the Connecticut Yuletide Carolers will make your holiday celebration a standout!

Founded in 1985 by Noble Barker, New Haven Ballet (NHB) is the region’s premier classical ballet school and has served Greater New Haven for over 40 years. Each year, NHB inspires thousands of children and adults through world-class training, captivating performances, and accessible community programs. Each year, NHB reaches approximately 7,000 people.

Angelface Records LLC is an independent record label based on the Connecticut shoreline, founded in 2022 by Angelica and Joe McCarthy, partners in marriage and collaborators in vision. Angelica is a Doctor of Athletic Training specializing in performing arts medicine and whole-person wellness. Joe is a Latin Grammy® Award-winning, Grammy® nominated drummer, bandleader, and educator. Together, they unite the power of music and wellness. They built Angelface Records to create meaningful impact on their own terms, rooted in their uniqueness and creative expression.

Spectrum Gallery is an expansion of the non-profit arts organization Arts Center Killingworth which offers classes, workshops, camps and whose mission is to provide opportunities for emerging and established artists to develop, display and sell their work.

Cabaret on Main Theater is an award-winning live performance venue located in East Haven, Connecticut, serving audiences throughout the Greater New Haven region and Connecticut shoreline. Founded by Billy DiCrosta and Neil Fuentes, the theater presents a diverse season of plays, musicals, comedy, concerts, cabaret performances, and special events in an intimate and immersive setting.
Home to the nonprofit Broadway On Main Theatre Company, Cabaret on Main is dedicated to making the arts accessible to all through educational programs, scholarships, community partnerships, and performance opportunities for youth and adults alike. The theater serves as a welcoming, bilingual, and inclusive space where artists and audiences from all backgrounds can connect through the transformative power of the performing arts.
Known for its unique cabaret-style atmosphere, flexible seating configurations, and state-of-the-art projection, sound, and lighting technology, Cabaret on Main has become a cultural destination for shoreline Connecticut residents seeking high-quality live entertainment close to home.

In 1990 a group of members approached then Director of Senior Services, “Diffy” Smith, about forming a camera club under the umbrella of the Madison Senior Center. Thus was born the Coastal Camera Club. From its inception in March of 1990 until the closing of The Depot in October of 2010, the Coastal Camera Club met in the basement of The Depot, twice monthly, from the third Wednesday in September through the first Wednesday in June. We now meet in the in the “Café” of the Senior Center at 29 Bradley Road, Madison, CT. As stated in the By-Laws the club’s purpose:

“… shall be to foster the science and art of photography among the members (and) to develop the photographic skills of the members.”

This is done through speakers and/or workshops during the meetings, twice yearly critiques where members bring in photographs for input as to how they may be improved, two competitions judged by an outside panel of judges and scheduled outside activities.

The Coastal Camera Club holds memberships in the following photography organizations;
New England Camera Club Council, 1990. The largest camera club council in the northeast, they have a conference each summer at the University of Massachusetts, Amherst, which is attended by many of our members. We also take advantage of programs, competitions and other services they offer, to raise our members knowledge and understanding of photography.
Connecticut Association of Photographers: A state wide umbrella organization for camera clubs. We use their judging lists and find speakers through their members.
Shoreline Alliance for the Arts, 1997. A local area arts umbrella organization, located in Guilford. We are listed on their website and also in their events calendar.

While the club was started by residents of Madison, like all organizations, we drew and continue to draw our members from the adjoining communities as well. Approximately one third of our current members are Madison residents. Other members, while not residents, have strong ties to Madison. We currently have members from an area defined by West Haven on the west, Lyme on the east and as far north as Essex and Killingworth.

CWA is one of the country's oldest women's art organizations, founded in 1929, in Connecticut. The organization is a not-for-profit corporation that provides a forum for women's contemporary art and emphasizes art's importance in today's society. CWA is a statewide group of vibrant, highly accomplished professional artists working in various media, including painting, drawing, printmaking, sculpture, assemblage, photography, clay, metal, fiber, and textiles. CWA provides many opportunities for contemporary female artists through its programs, including exhibition opportunities, networking, promotion, and education. CWA presents annual art exhibitions in Connecticut, including the National Open Juried Exhibition, the Members' Juried Show, and the Council Members' Show at well-known and respected galleries and museums throughout the state. The CWA Council chooses jurors from among the most influential women in the visual arts in. The artists, educators, and curators who have worked with us are all outstanding women in their expertise and have made significant contributions to the art world.

The goal of Connecticut Women Artists, Inc. is to foster and promote interest in the visual arts by Connecticut women, to maintain the highest possible standards of achievement among them, to provide exhibitions, and to encourage any other activities beneficial to artistic endeavors.

Kandie Carle has been working in the theatre for over 40 years as an actress dancer singer and director. She is based in East Haddam CT and tours throughout New England and beyond. In her one-woman show The Victorian Lady she shares her passion for history culture fashion and societal reflection. She also offers a one-woman show based on Jane Austen’s Regency novels. She is also the Producing Artistic Director of the East Haddam Stage Company in residence at Gillette Castle State Park.

The Essex Art Association, housed in a historic Essex building, has served the Shoreline area as a nonprofit seasonal art gallery since 1946. We were the first local art association to embrace all styles of art, from the traditional to the cutting edge. The excellence and variety of our shows have made the EAA an outstanding exhibition venue showcasing quality art.

Several shows during our typical season offer opportunities for artists and art lovers alike. In a normal year, our opening show, the Valley Regional High School Student Show, highlights the exciting and refreshing work of young artists. Throughout the season three regular show categories are offered to artists: Juried, Open, and Elected Artist. The open shows and Elected Artist show are judged for awards, and all entries are hung if space permits. Juried shows are limited to 80 works chosen by the juror from over 200 entries. In addition to these shows, Gantner Gallery solo shows highlight some of the most interesting and accomplished artists who were show winners during the previous year.

The gallery season has been traditionally extended by rentals offered to members for their own shows.

We welcome you to be a part of this vital and growing community art organization. We want to exhibit your work and give you the space to walk around, view the shows and perhaps purchase a piece of original artwork. Volunteer opportunities allow art lovers and artists to join in the ongoing life of our gallery. Your membership, participation and donations are essential to the achievement of our mission to promote art appreciation and artists’ recognition in the communities that we serve.

The consistent recipient of a Trip Advisor Certificate of Excellence, the Florence Griswold Museum has been called a “Giverny in Connecticut” by the Wall Street Journal, and a “must-see” by the Boston Globe. In addition to the restored Florence Griswold House, the Museum features a gallery for changing art exhibitions, education and landscape centers, a restored artist’s studio, twelve acres along the Lieutenant River, extensive gardens, and a nature walk.

Commissioning and premiering new work by Connecticut performing artists and presenting a diverse biennial festival of the performing arts coupled with hands-on workshops and master classes taught by festival artists.

Justice Dance Performance Project is an arts non-profit that harnesses creative expression as a catalyst for positive change. JDPP uses dance theater performance and multi-arts engagement to examine social issues build bridges of understanding across diverse communities and inspire both individual growth and collective action. Participants in JDPP’s programs discover untapped resources as they grow and heal opening new and productive channels in the present and for the future.

MAS provides support and exhibition opportunities for artists at all levels of experience in Madison and the surrounding towns. It also works in collaboration with non-profit organizations and provides free educational demonstrations open to the public. Over many years, MAS has held numerous art exhibitions and demonstrations at the E. Scranton Library. All these art shows are very well attended. We have donated over $20,000 in sales commissions to the library.

Musical Masterworks brings to southern New England world-class chamber music performances and outreach programs which attract, entertain, and educate a diverse audience. Musical Masterworks also produces two Modern contemporary chamber music concerts each season, in different venues in the shoreline communities.

The New Haven Chorale is an auditioned community of choral musicians united by their passion for performing great choral music, their desire to grow musically, and their interest in artistic collaborations and community cultural service.

Oddfellows Playhouse, founded in 1975, remains committed to artistic excellence & social justice. The Playhouse's mission has 3 parts: 1) an artistic dimension to provide high-quality theater by & for young people; 2) an educational dimension to promote the growth of young people through the performing arts; and 3) a social action dimension to offer opportunities especially to underserved & at-risk youth to promote the development of a genuinely multiracial, multicultural society.

The Shoreline Chorale ('TSC') was founded in 1980 under the auspices of the Shoreline Alliance for the Arts in Guilford. TSC is a non-auditioned chorus, so all that is required for membership is a desire to sing meaningful music in 4-6 part harmony. TSC welcomes singers age 16 or older, of all abilities and currently, TSC has 60+ members!

​​TSC sings from the last week in August until May, with a break after the Fall concert. TSC presents two concerts per year, one in November and one in May. Like most other choral groups, TSC loves to get together socially, and enjoys picnics at the start of the season, 'after concert' receptions, and occasional group dinners.
