Tassy Walden Submission Information

Submission of Work

  • Submission Deadline: February 4, 2020. Work must be postmarked or hand-delivered on or before this deadline date.

  • Submissions: Writers and illustrators may submit up to two submissions per category.

  • Submission Fees: $20 for first submission; $15 for each additional submission. Payment by check, money order, or cash. Checks must be made payable to Shoreline Arts Alliance.

  • Restrictions: Please review Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs) for submission restrictions.

  • The Tassy Walden Submissions Management team reserves the right to re-categorize entries that seem better suited to another category. For instance, a novel may be moved from MG to YA.

  • Each submission must include a completed Submissions Form and payment. All manuscript submissions must include a title page (see sample title page). All illustrations must be labeled with the entrant’s name and contact information.

  • No submissions will be returned. All will be responsibly discarded according to industry standards. DO NOT send original art.

  • Notification of awardees will be emailed to all submitters and posted on ShorelineArts.org in early May.

 

Awards and Reception

The Shoreline Arts Alliance will host the annual Tassy Walden Awards Ceremony and Reception on May 27, 2020, at 7 pm at Blackstone Library, 758 Main St, Branford, CT. The Awards Ceremony and Reception is FREE for all entrants and their guests. Refreshments are served. Please RSVP by email to tassy@shorelinearts.org or by phone at 203.453.3890.
