Woman’s Work: Another Octave presents working women’s stories

October 2023

Are your Mondays manic?

Is the 9 to 5 routine all too familiar?

Do you love what you do to earn a living – or do you dream of telling the boss where to go?

Whenever, however, and wherever you work, you’ll find something familiar in Another Octave’s fall concert — Woman’s Work. We’ll be telling the stories of teachers, restaurant staff, denizens of office cubicles, domestic workers, and more. Of course, Rosie the Riveter and the All-American Girls Baseball Team will make an appearance. Celebrate some of the myriad ways that women keep the world turning by joining Another Octave for Woman’s Work.

Woman’s Work will be presented on Saturday, November 18 at 7:00 p.m. at the Unitarian Society of New Haven, 700 Hartford Turnpike, Hamden.

Since its first show in 1990, Another Octave has been engaging audiences around Connecticut and out of state with energetic performances and an eclectic repertoire that includes standard concert pieces as well as traditional and contemporary music reflecting women’s lives.

Ticket prices range from $18-$27. For more information or to purchase tickets visit www.AnotherOctave.org and www.facebook.com/AnotherOctave.
