Shoreline Arts Alliance to Hold Celebration of the Arts

Shoreline Arts Alliance is proud to host the 2nd Annual Celebration of the Arts on Thursday, June 22 at Scranton Memorial Library in Madison. The event, which runs from 5-7 PM will celebrate the arts with performances, readings and exhibits by winners of Shoreline Arts Alliance’s 2023 Scholarships in the Arts, IMAGES 2022, the 2023 Tassy Walden New Voices in Children’s Literature competition and SAA’s 2023 Future Choices juried art exhibition for high school students. In addition to seeing emerging artists, attendees will be able to experience the work of professional artists from the shoreline region of Connecticut. Enjoy the ukelele music of singer/songwriter Jim Beloff of Clinton, hear Paige Classey of Madison read from her newly published YA novel, Everything You Left Me, enjoy a musical performance by actress and playwright, Julie Fitzpatrick of Guilford, and get lost in the paintings of Molly McDonald of Branford. The evening will also feature a performance by Starship Dance and an opportunity for an interactive art project.
Celebration of the Arts is sponsored in part by Community Foundation of Middlesex County, Connecticut Office of the Arts, Guilford Foundation, Guilford Savings Bank and National Roofing.
