OPERA THEATER OF CT AUDITIONS FOR 2022

Opera Theater of Connecticut, the state’s oldest opera company, announces auditions for CT-based singers for its diverse and dynamic 2022 season. Presentations next season range from Music Theater (“Andrew Lloyd Webber: Superstar of Song and Stage”, June 26) to classic opera (“La Traviata”, (August 11, 13, and 14) and “Hansel & Gretel” (December 3) all at the Andrews Memorial Theater in Clinton to “La Passion de Carmen” (September 10 and 11), a creative collaboration with professional opera singers performing highlights from the Bizet opera alongside trained horses and riders from Patricia Norcia Dressage at the High Hopes Arena in Old Lyme, as well as other concerts and events yet to be finalized.
The auditions will be held in Madison CT on Saturday, January 29 starting at 11am. An accompanist will be provided.
Opera Theater is especially interested in hearing CT-based Music Theater singers as we expand our range of presentations here in CT to include concerts of the great Broadway works, as we have done at the Sanibel Music Festival in Florida for many years.
Interested singers should send their resume and photo to Opera Theater at otc@otcsings.org. Please include a copy of your vaccination card showing full vaccination as well as booster. Chosen singers will be contacted with a time and the address.
