I-PARK ANNOUNCES AUGUST EVENTS: OPEN TRAILS, GUIDED WALKS, VOLUNTEERS DAY
East Haddam, CT (August 16, 2021) — I-Park, an international, multi-disciplinary artists’ colony set within a 450-acre nature preserve in East Haddam is celebrating its 20th year of creating art in nature and is pleased to welcome the public to its FREE Open Trails + Birdwatching + Plein Air Paint Out eventon Saturday, August 28 from 9:00 am to 1:30 pm. The event is family-friendly for children of all ages and includes a scavenger hunt with prizes. Due to the fragility of the artworks and the natural features at I-Park, pets are not permitted on the I-Park grounds.
Visitors will be given a trail map and a Birds of I-Park brochure and are invited to explore the grounds, including the 40+ existing environmental art installations. Guests will be among the first to experience our brand-new 20th Anniversary Commission artworks by Marvin Touré and Sui Park. Special thanks to the Rockfall Foundation for their generous support of the Birds of I-Park brochure.

All are welcome to bring a picnic lunch, pull up a patch of grass and enjoy a relaxing screen-free, fresh-air experience. For those interested in bird-watching, try to arrive at 9 am and don't forget a pair of binoculars. And, for plein-air painters, they're welcome to bring an easel, pick a spot and paint the welcoming morning landscape.
