CDA to hold Awards Event to Honor the 2021 Distinguished Achievement in Dance Recipients





HARTFORD, CT – September 24, 2021 – Connecticut Dance Alliance (CDA) is pleased to recognize Libby Nye and Rachna Ramya Agrawal as recipients of the 2021 Distinguished Achievement in Dance Award in recognition of their distinguished careers in dance and commitment to the Connecticut dance community. Nye and Agrawal will be honored during CDA’s annual awards ceremony on Sunday, October 3. Recipients of the Jill Henderson Service Award, Barbara Ally, and the CDA Jump Start Awards, Megan Boyd, Lili St. Amand, and Leanne Zalweski, will also be recognized at the event. The Distinguished Achievement in Dance Award celebrates those individuals who have made outstanding and long-lasting contributions to the Connecticut dance community. Previous recipients of the CDA Distinguished Achievement in Dance Award include Noble Barker, Pilobolus and Pamela Tatge, Judy Dworin, Martha Myers, and Michael Uthoff. The 2021 Connecticut Dance Alliance awards ceremony, reception and performance will be held Sunday, October 3rd from 4 pm to 6 pm at the Carol Autorino Center for the Arts and Humanities on the campus of the University of Saint Joseph, 1678 Asylum Avenue, West Hartford. Masks are required. Tickets are free for CDA members and $25 for non-members and can be reserved at: ctdanceall.org
