Korey Brodsky is a 2013 International Bluegrass Music Association (IBMA) Youth All-Star and regional contest winner who performs on both guitar and mandolin. He currently attends Berklee College of Music. At the age of four he picked up his first guitar and the mandolin at 11. Only 19, Korey has already been featured in Flatpicking Guitar Magazine and other music industry publications including Bluegrass Today and Bluegrass Unlimited. He released his debut album Cruizin’ in October of 2016. Although primarily a bluegrass player, Brodsky has also studied and performed Old Time, Classical, and Gypsy Jazz as well as originals.
Rick Brodsky is a regular on the Connecticut/New York bluegrass scene and has also played bass for numerous regional and national bluegrass bands including Jonathan Edwards, Jeff Scroggins & Colorado, Stacy Phillips & His Bluegrass Characters and Peter Yarrow of Peter, Paul and Mary. Another claim to fame is raising a son named Korey.
Ella Jordan is a multi-genre fiddler from Texas currently studying at Berklee College of Music, where she was most recently honored with the Fletcher Bright Scholarship. She is the youngest ever winner of the Old Settler’s Music Festival youth competition, and was a recipient of the Daniel Pearl Memorial violin.
Ethan Hawkins is a guitarist with earthy warm melodies and a fiery rhythmic touch, one of the most well rounded guitarists in the Appalachian Roots scene today. Hailing from the heart of the Shenandoah Valley and dedicated to a fierce passion for fiddle music and all its intricacies, Hawkins has developed a unique style that promises to widen eyes and ears.
