Leadership & Development Initiative
A rebirth of the Summer Internship Program, 2019 marked the first year of Shoreline Arts Alliance's Leadership and Development Initiative. This program is designed to give students an educational, safe, and affirming environment to develop their art, express themselves through any and all forms of art, and to develop their own leadership and management skills.
The Leadership and Development Initiative is a summer program for students in Connecticut who are interested in working on developing leadership and management skills through the arts.
This program takes place throughout the summer and features field trips, talks from local professionals, creating and implementing a project/idea, working together with a group of creatives, and most importantly having fun.
This program can also lead into a leadership position with Shoreline Arts Alliance through the Junior Board of Directors, a group of students in our region that help guide the Executive Director in reaching our communities youth. The Junior Board meets all year round.
