Helping Our Community Through Unprecedented Times

Our lives have been turned upside down in a matter of days, we are being bombarded with phone messages, text messages and emails about what to do and what not to do. It is so easy to forget about the importance of the arts right now…but the arts help us process and find a way through the unknown.

We at Shoreline Arts Alliance encourage all of you to keep creating, keep writing, keep singing and dancing and taking wonderful pictures. Remind people about the beauty around us, and we promise to keep supporting you through these difficult times and offer you hope.

As schools begin to close and extracurricular activities are cancelled, scholarships opportunities for our youth may become limited. We understand the importance and necessity of keeping our arts scholarship programs running and continuing to offer artists opportunities, and will continue to do so….

  • Get Happy! Project

    • A Facebook event providing a place for artists to keep creating and sharing their artforms. All are invited to share positive expressions of unique creativity. Write a poem, take a photo, create music, choreograph a dance and share it on our event page.

    • You can find us by going to our Facebook Page and clicking on Events. All posts will also be promoted on our Instagram page, @shorelineartsalliance and here on our website

  • Future Choices

    • Take a virtual tour of our gallery here.

    • Work is being kept safely at Lyme Academy of Fine Arts. Students will be updated on when artwork can be picked up.

  • Scholarships in the Arts applications will continue to be accepted through our April 10 deadline.

    • Information about auditions and interview procedures will be forthcoming.

    • Our scholarship awards will be moved to a different venue, held without an audience and will be live streamed.

  • The Tassy Walden New Voices in Children’s Literature Award Ceremony is still scheduled to be held on May 27 at the Blackstone Library.

  • Our SAA staff will be working remotely from home and will be happy to answer your questions and address any of your concerns. We will be reachable by email at office@shorelinearts.org

Take care of yourselves and each other. We will keep you updated if and when changes occur, and we will see all of you very soon.
